NAME THAT SHOE ROUND 3

Answer to the previous Name That Shoe Round 2 was the Nike Air Penny Max 1 worn by Anfernee Hardaway. Alright, I know that some of you were to young to have worn these shoes back in the day, but don't worry Nike keeps on retroing them. Let's see if you can guess this next shoe from 1996. This shoe is considered the best nike basketball ever. Name This Shoe.

NIKE X GI JOE

Nike and Hasbro teamed up to bring you the GI JOE pack. The pack features three Nike shoes based around Cobra the Enemy characters, Cobra Commander, Destro, and Storm Shadow. Each shoe comes in a collector box to resemble the popular 1980s toy. The details Nike put on each shoe is great including the Cobra symbol on the tongues and insoles. The Nike Zoom Sharkalaid Storm Shadow are a personal favorite. I passed on the Cobra Commander shoes for now. They should have made a Snake Eyes though.

SHOEAFFLICTION KNOWS

Nike Training is making a big push this with the new Air Trainer 1 and now the retro of the Air Trainer SC high AKA Bo Jacksons. What makes this one special is the OG white/grey/orange colorway which was made to represent Bo Jackson's playing days at Auburn University. Those who were old enough to see him play football and/or baseball know that he was a legend. Grab a pair before they are gone.

NAME THAT SHOE ROUND 2

Answer to the first Name that Shoe was Air Worm Ndestrukt worn by Dennis Rodman. 1996 produced one of the best Signature Lines that Nike Basketball ever created. Just like the player whom the shoe was made for, it was sleek and stylish. This particular model was a personal favorite of mine. Can you name this shoe and the player who wore them?

GOLD MEDAL KOBE IVs

Zoom Kobe IV Olympic Rings!

Nike is capitalizing on Kobe Bryant's success this year by releasing dozens of colorways of his signature shoe. The Zoom Kobe IV Gold Medal edition commemorates Kobe Bryant's gold medal performance in the 2008 Beijing Oylmpics. The shoe features several aspects of the Olympics including his Olympic number 10 on the heel and a picture of a gold medal with the date 8-24-09 on the insoles. Although Kobe never wore this particular color in the Olympics, it is still a nice pair to have in the collection. Be sure to grab a pair before they are all gone.

OG SPACE JAMS!

With all the hype surrounding the 2009 holiday re-release of the Air Jordan 11 Sapce Jams, I decided to break out my OG pairs and they are still shiny & icey! Some people are already paying $300+ months before the release to secure their pair. I do like the new packaging but the $175 retail price is steep considering the quality won't be like the OG ones. Good luck!

2009 TRUE BLUE 3s!

Last Saturday marked the international release of the Air Jordan 3 true blues and many sneakerheads are not passing on them. Some are taking a chance and waiting for them to drop here in the US, but if they don't release them here you might have to pay a lot more later.
The Air Jordan 3 true blues 2009 retro are actually very close to the 2001 retro in terms of shape and color. Jordan Brand finally produced a respectable retro!

DUNKXCHANGE RECAP!

The Dunkxchange 4 year Anniversary event was fun and successful for ShoeAfflliction. Saw some great kicks and bought a few too(will post pictures later). DJ Clark Kent, who was wearing a pair of unreleased Jordan 60+ "Laneys" stopped by our table. I was disappointed that Gza didn't show up, maybe next time.
