LIVESTRONG AIR MAX 2009
I finally got my hands on the latest Nike Livestrong X Air Max collaboration. Nike and the Lance Armstrong Foundation has teamed up once again to deliver the popular black and yellow Livestrong colors on the popular Air Max 2009. The shoes are black with yellow accents and the Livestrong tag on the tongue. 100% of the profits of the Livestrong collection goes directly to the Lance Armstrong Foundation to help fight against cancer.

SPACE JAMS, THE AFTERMATH!
Did you get your Space Jams? A lot of people under estimated this release and were disappointed. Online sites crashed and lines were long. Stories about people being robbed and stores being broken into brought back memories of the DMP release. I was lucky to grab a few more pairs online because I certainly wasn't going to stand in line in the freezing cold. Tell us your story.

LACE UP SAVE LIVES
I recently picked up some new shoe laces, but not just any shoe lace. The "LACE UP SAVE LIVES" red laces to be exact. Nike has teamed up with PRODUCT and will contribute 100% of profits from the sales pf the laces to the global fund and to support football-based programs to help fight AIDS in Africa.
Had to put them on a fresh pair of my favorite Air Jordan!

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS ARE SOME SPACEJAMS!
Its been nearly 10 years since the release of the original Air Jordan 11 retro black/royal or Space Jams. I was hesitant to purchase these shoes at first, but seeing them in person persuaded me to go ahead and buy them.
The newer version is very similar to the original. Although the leather is not like the original, it is better than the Countdown Pack Air Jordan 11 black/red that came out last year. A couple of significant changes include the jumpman logo facing the wrong way on the heel and the direction of the words jumpman jordan on the tongue. The cut of the patent leather also differs in that it is lower on the newer version. Last but not least, the soles are icey clear. This is the main reason for the high demand for the 2009 version. If you missed the first release or just want these icey soles, be ready to hand over your wallet because the retail price is $175. The price increase might be due to the addition of a special box and shoe trees. The box is a drawer type with a plastic cover similar to the Defining Moments box. The shoe tree are royal blue and made of hard plastic with the jumpman logo on it.
The release of the 2009 version is set for December 23rd, making it more difficult to cop a pair or two due to last minute Christmas shoppers.
We will be getting a limited number of the Space Jams in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned.

BO KNOWS TRAINER 1
The Bo Knows campaign comes full circle with the Nike Trainer 1 "Bo Knows" edition. This shoe is a classic mixture of old and new. The shoe features black & silver colors for the Raiders. Nike used a black elephant print on the top of the shoe and a grey cement color on the outsoles. The left insole has BO Knows. The right insole has the famous Bo Jackson pose with his football pads and bat. The combination of traditional colors and materials with new style innovations make this shoe an instant classic.

LA TRAINER 1
The Nike Trainer 1 has become a popular shoe to customize for Nike. The New York Yankee edition was hot and flew off the shelves since the Yankees just won their 27th World Series.
The Los Angeles version features the Dodger blue and white colors. The famous LA Nike logo is stitched on the heels and printed on the inside of the right tongue. The insoles have the numbers of all the retired Dodger players. Get yours at your local So Cal Footlocker.

ROUND 3
What a day! Not only did I pick up the third Pacquiao Trainer 1 shoe, but Manny Pacquiao made history by becoming the first boxer to win seven titles. Niketown LA was crazy because it was also the release of the Doernbecher charity collection featuring the Air Jordan VI. I was lucky enough to get my pairs. This White/red/blue/yellow colorway is my favorite thus far. There are numerous color combinations that one can create with the four sets of laces it came with. Can't wait until the next fight and the next Pacquiao Trainer 1 colorway!
